The 1958-59 Trojan basketball team finished the year with a record of 19-3. The record still stands as the best single-season winning percentage in school history. Coach Bob Heller was the County League Coach of the Year and Ben Price was the MVP.

Tusky Valley held its first Homecoming game On November 8, 1957. Linda Mizer was crowned as Tusky Valley's first homecoming queen during a halftime ceremony. She was escorted by football co-captain Wayne Ruof.

Tusky Valley's first varsity basketball cheerleaders were Carol Vrsan, Peggy Mathey, Karen McKinney, Suzanne Wolf, and Sherry Locker.
On September 20th, 1957, Tusky Valley defeated Malvern 20-12 in the school's first ever football game. Sophomore Walt Duebner scored TV's first ever touchdown.
TVLS held the first Junior-Senior Prom on May 17, 1957. The theme was "Oriental Gardens" and the prom was held at the St. Francis Hotel in Canton. A banquet for juniors, seniors and faculty was held from 7:00-8:00 PM and the Prom followed from 8:00-11:00 PM.
